Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect information when you visit koinessa.com.
Last updated: September 5, 2026.
What this site is
koinessa.com is an informational site — the white paper, product pages, and blog for Koinessa. There are no user accounts and no checkout. There is one form, the waitlist form on the pre-release page. You can also reach us by email; the address is at the foot of this page.
What you send us through the form
The waitlist form asks for your name and email address, and optionally your company, your team size, and a short note about what you are trying to verify. Only the name and email are required; every other field can be left blank and the form still works.
Along with what you type, we record which page you submitted from, which language you were reading in, your browser's user-agent string, the referring URL if your browser sent one, and the two-letter country our CDN reports. We do not store your IP address with a successful submission. This form also runs automated spam and bot detection -- a hidden field that only a script would fill, and for some submissions a short verification check. When that detection blocks a submission, or simulates a response to one, we retain the network address and browser identity of that attempt for up to 400 days, and may report a clearly abusive address to a third-party abuse-reporting database (AbuseIPDB). A submission that reaches us successfully -- the one your name and email become part of -- is never affected by this; it is only an attempt our detection actually stops.
We use this only to reply to you and to understand which pages produce enquiries. It is not a newsletter signup — sending the form does not subscribe you to anything, and there is no automated email sequence.
What we collect automatically
This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand which pages people read and where visitors come from. When you load a page, Google's analytics tag records the page you viewed, an approximate location derived from your IP address (city/country level, not a precise address), basic device and browser information, and which site or search engine referred you. We have turned Google Signals off for this property and set data retention to the minimum period Google Analytics allows — we are not building cross-site advertising profiles from this data, and it is not kept longer than necessary to see traffic trends.
We do not use cookies or scripts to track you across other websites, and this site has no login, so nothing collected here is tied to a named individual unless you separately email us.
Advertising & retargeting
This site does not currently run any advertising or retargeting pixel. We may add one in the future (for example, to measure whether an ad we ran led to a visit here) — if and when we do, we will update this section to name the specific tool, what it collects, and how to opt out, before it goes live, not after.
How we use this information
- To see which pages and posts people actually read, so we know what is worth writing more of.
- To understand roughly where visitors come from (search, a shared link, direct).
- To respond to anything you send us by email or through the form.
We do not sell any information collected here, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing purposes.
Who we share information with
- Google — the analytics data described above, under Google's own privacy policy.
- Amazon Web Services — this site is hosted on AWS Amplify; standard web-server logs (IP address, requested URL, timestamp) pass through AWS infrastructure as part of ordinary hosting, the same as any website. Form submissions are stored in Amazon DynamoDB in the US East region, and the notification telling us a submission arrived is sent through Amazon SES. Both are our own AWS account — the data is not passed to a third-party form or CRM service.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it. Beyond that, we do not sell or rent any information to anyone.
Data retention
Analytics data is kept for the minimum period Google Analytics allows before automatic deletion. Emails you send us, and anything you send through the waitlist form, are kept as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and for our own records, and are not used for any other purpose. Waitlist submissions are also copied into our internal customer records, which run on the founder's own hardware rather than a hosted CRM.
Your choices
You can block Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by using a browser or extension that blocks third-party analytics scripts generally. This site has no account and no stored profile tied to you from ordinary browsing. If you have emailed us or sent the waitlist form, ask us at kris@koinessa.com and we will delete your record — from the form store, from our internal customer records, and from the notification mailbox. No reason needs to be given, and we will confirm when it is done.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way — including if we add an advertising or retargeting tool per the section above — we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date at the top.
